Racing Returns This Friday, May 13 - Powerful URC 360 Sprint Cars To Headline

Yes, the thrills of auto racing at Georgetown Speedway return this Friday, May 13. Like you, we have been watching the weather forecast closely. Fortunately for us, the trends are pointing toward rain in the morning and early afternoon with clearing later in the day. We know Delaware race fans have gone a month without dirt-track racing and will do our best to beat Mother Nature.

The powerful United Racing Club (URC) 360 Sprint Cars headline the program in a 25-lap main paying $2,000 to win and $300 to start. Super Late Models are invited for practice and a Dash as a shakedown to the First State 40 on June 2. Also featured: Crate 602 Sportsman, Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars, Little Lincolns, Delmarva Chargers and Delaware Super Trucks.

Your Country K107.7 will be on hand to broadcast live prior to the start of racing.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. Grandstand gates will be unlocked at 5 p.m. Hot laps get underway at 6:30 p.m. with racing at 7:15 p.m.

Adult grandstand admission is $15. Seniors (65 and over) and Students (ages 13-17) pay $12. Kids 9-12 are $8. Children under eight are admitted FREE. Pit admission is $30.

In the event of rain, every effort will be made to reschedule the event at a later date.
