URC Sprints Make Only 2020 Appearance Sept. 11, Modifieds Battle for $3,000 Top Prize

GEORGETOWN, DE – For the first – and only – time in 2020, the potent United Racing Club (URC) 360
Sprint Cars tackle Georgetown Speedway on Friday, September 11.

The
progressively banked half-mile oval returns to action on the 11th
with the first URC appearance since the speedway was resurfaced following the
mid-March season opener. URC competitors will battle in qualifying races and a
lightning-fast 25-lap main event.

Josh Weller
of Mertztown, Pa., has won the last two URC 360 Sprint Car visits to
Georgetown. Last year, he defeated Chad Layton, J.J. Grasso, Austin Bishop and
Delaware resident Curt Michael.

L&J Sheet
Metal Modifieds return to the speedway following a highly entertaining ‘Blast
at the Beach event on Aug. 25. The big-block/small-block Modified contingent race
for a $3,000 winners share and Sunoco Championship Series points.

L&J Sheet
Metal Modified winners this season have included Stewart Friesen (March 7 and
Aug. 25), Billy Pauch Jr. (July 24), Rick Laubach (June 13) and Billy Dunn
(Small-Block, March 8).

RUSH Late
Models return for the first time since July 24 in a 20-lap, $1,000-to-win
special.

Billy Pauch
Jr. leads the L&J Sheet Metal Modified Sunoco standings and Matt Hill tops
the RUSH Late Model points entering the 11th.  Complete standings can be found at the
following link: https://www.thegeorgetownspeedway.com/?page_id=2029

Completing
the program, in 12-lap features, are Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars,
Little Lincolns, Delmarva Chargers and Delaware Super Trucks.

Gates open at
5 p.m.  Hot laps hit the track at 6:40
p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.
