GEORGETOWN,
DE – Eat dinner with
the family. Well provide the dirt-track dessert.
With New York
State regulations not allowing for the annual ‘Gobbler to be presented at its
home since 2013 – Accord Speedway – Georgetown Speedway promoter Brett Deyo has
announced the post-Thanksgiving event will take place at the First State
half-mile oval on Saturday, Nov. 28.
The ‘Gobbler
will serve as the 2020 Northeast dirt-track finale on the last Saturday
afternoon of November.
“We are
looking forward to continuing the tradition of the ‘Gobbler while New York
State regulations are still prohibiting spectators in the grandstands at auto
racing events,â Deyo said. “Hopefully, next season racing in New York State
will be back to normal and the event will go home to Gary and Donna Palmer at
Accord Speedway.â
