Fun for Everyone: Two Days of Racing at Georgetown Speedway Sept. 30 & Oct. 1

GEORGETOWN, DE – Fun for everyone.

The historic Georgetown Speedway prepares for a full weekend of racing on Friday, Sept. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 1.

On Friday night (Sept. 30), the J.W. Brown Logging Modifieds and Blue Hen Dispose-All Crate 602 Sportsman compete in their penultimate events in the Sunoco Championship chase.

The USAC East Coast Sprint Cars join the Friday night program for a 25-lap affair, the only wingless Sprint Car appearance of 2022 at the progressively banked half-mile.

Heading into Friday nights racing action, Ringoes, N.J.s Ryan Godown leads the J.W. Brown Logging Modifieds after his win on Northeastern Supply Night back on Sept. 9.

The win gave Godown a nine-point advantage over two-time winner Jordan Watson, of Milford, Del.

Pipersville, Pa.s Danny Bouc rounds out the top-three in championship contention, 26 markers behind Godown.

The big-block/small-block Modifieds of Georgetown Speedway go for 25-laps and a $3,000 top prize on Friday night.

Two-time defending champion Joe Toth leads the Blue Hen Dispose-All Crate 602 Sportsman standings by 47 markers over Laurel, Del.s Jordn Justice. Carneys Point, N.J.s Eric Kormann rounds out the top three, 56 points behind Toth.

The Crate 602 Sportsman race 20 laps on Friday night for a $1,000 winners share.

The Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Car Club, Little Lincolns, Delaware Super Trucks, and Delmarva Chargers join Fridays program, running 12-lap, feature-only events.

The following night, Saturday (Oct. 1), the annual Camp Barnes Benefit Stock Car Race returns to Georgetown Speedway for the first time since 1957.

The Camp Barnes Benefit Stock Car Race will not carry points for any of the divisions on Saturday night.

The Modifieds race for 30-laps on Saturday night for a $5,500 winners share, while the Super Late Models join Saturdays fun for 25-laps and their own $5,500 winners share. The winners shares have been boosted by $500 for both the Modifieds and Super Late Models thanks to the Frozen Farmer.

The Crate 602 Sportsman and First State Chevrolet RUSH Late Models will both be on hand for the Camp Barnes Benefit Stock Car Race, each battling for their own $1,500 top prize. Green money has been increased to $125 for both crate divisions.

The Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Car Club, Little Lincolns, Delaware Super Trucks, and Delmarva Chargers all join for 12-lap, features only racing.
